I love to sun myself outside and I love to roll around in the grass. The problem arises when I feel the need to dirty myself a little.
Every so often I am taken to be groomed; I get the full treatment of shaving, clipping and other things I don't care to mention. I don't like this procedure, but I endure it because my human is so happy about the end result that I get more treats. Treats are always the motivator for life around here.
We finally arrive home and I parade around the front yard so everyone can see me for the few minutes I am clean and groomed. Then it is off to the backyard. What happens there is beyond my control. I can't explain my behavior and my humans are beside themselves since they don't understand either. When I am eventually bored or sleepiness from the morning stress has set in, I arrive at the back door.....to the horror of my humans I present myself with brown spots on my white body. Yes, I have rolled in my own poop again and am immediately taken inside for another bath!
I feel that is what our leaders are doing in this country. They do something good and clean and immediately sully that good deed by making us roll around in their excrement! They increase the minimum wage, which is a good thing, but ignore the hardships on small business --- the creator of those jobs which will now be eliminated. They craft healthcare reform, but add every possible requirement that will hurt individuals, businesses, doctors, and the entire healthcare industry is left in turmoil and shambles. They increase voter registration, but ignore safeguards that make it possible for more fraud. They try to help immigrants working in this country, but provide more free services for them than our own citizens receive.
We are a nation of patsies.....we let our leaders do this to us. We must stand tall, voice our opposition, take back control and say NO MORE! I am tired of rolling around in all the poop coming out of Washington, aren't you?
"A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one."
