I turned 3 years old last month. I know this because I got chicken for dinner and a new toy.Getting older has its advantages and disadvantages. I am expected to know right from wrong; I can no longer blame my ill-mannered behavior on just being a puppy. Case in point: this morning my humans found out I peed on the carpet by the bed. Unfortunately for them, it was stepped in. They also found out I lifted my leg (which I rarely do) because the bed skirt was also wet. I blame my cousin (also a Maltese) for initially doing this in that exact spot on one of his visits, my humans just blamed me. I don't get it.....I can see the correlation, why can't they?
When I was a puppy I got away with all kinds of misdeeds and bad behaviors, including jumping and running up on humans sitting on the couch. I was only 2-1/2 pounds so it was considered cute. Why isn't that cute anymore? I still like running and jumping and I am only 6-1/2 pounds so to me there isn't much of a difference.
The Obama administration is acting like an ill-behaved puppy. They whine, cry, beg, jump on everything, and run around without getting anywhere. They are old enough to know better, they are old enough to be expected to act like adults, they are old enough to take responsibility for their actions and words. They should be old enough to lead without peeing on everything and everyone in sight.
We no longer think they are cute. We are looking for a new puppy.
