Toilet paper and truth telling

There is always a case for telling the truth, no matter how ugly it seems.

Let's take yesterday for example: My owners came home and found a mound of shredded paper on the bathroom floor. I'll be the first to admit I don't like to be scolded and should have brought it to my owner's attention as soon as they got home, but I thought if I ignored it, no one would notice. What happened next is truly baffling: they asked me if I had made that mess! Let's see....I was the only one home all day, so the odds of narrowing down the suspect lean toward my owners getting it right on the first try. Sure enough, I was in trouble so I hid instead of facing the truth. Next I tried to bring out one of my toy monkeys, with paper stuck to it, like that would explain the real culprit.

I am sad to report that neither ploy worked, I got in trouble, and the door will forever be shut when I am home alone.

Thinking back on the situation, if I had just sat next to the pile and fessed up I don't think my owners would have been angry. They knew I was bored while home alone all day and knew we had a loud storm which makes me extremely anxious. I probably would have been easily forgiven considering the extenuating circumstances.

This is what happened to Donald Trump. I am not referring to the toilet paper, in which a case could be made for some of the other presidential candidates. I am referring to him telling the truth about the Mexican government propelling the hundreds of thousands of immigrants over our border and about our government making their entry too easy. I am also referring to the crime wave, health costs, state costs and entitlements that come with that wave. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Leash and Restraint Laws

Our state has leash/restraint laws for my owners, which means they are required to have me on leash when out of the house or yard. I am unable to roam freely, no matter what I want to do or where I want to go.

Now, to you this may make sense, but I love the feel of grass under my paws. I love to run and jump in the grass. Of course it feels much better in an area that I am otherwise restricted in. Makes sense, right?

Let's look at what happened this past weekend: Headlines screamed "ROPE A DOPE"! This was in response to Hillary Clinton once again trying to contain the media/press. They were held back with a thick ROPE, by staffers, while she walked a parade and greeted citizens on the street.

I must admit, she has done many things I don't agree with and has done many things I suspect will ultimately be found illegal, but I was shocked! Not with Hillary, but with the press. They are the dopes in this story. Why would they let someone do this to them? Did they not have two feet to walk away? Why are they following her? She won't let them close. Why do they think they will be able to ask her a question? She won't talk to them. Why do they think they will get a fresh story? She has successfully controlled them and all their stories since the onset.

Hillary Clinton lives in a bubble she fears she must control to survive and the press look like idiots. Her bubble will burst, her secrets will be exposed, but the press will NEVER recover from this. They are pawns in her game.

GAME OVER: Hillary-4, Press-0.

The work of internal government has become the task of controlling the thousands of fifth-rate men.

Redistribution of Treats

There is a dog down the street that doesn't seem to have many toys. He probably doesn't get as many treats as me either. I know this because he is always alone outside with nothing to do or nothing to play with. His humans have suggested that I give away my toys and treats to their dog. I don't think that is a good idea....not at all....oh no.....not MY toys and treats!

Does this sound familiar? You work, you pay taxes, and someone wants you to give more so they can increase entitlements?

I have an idea: If you want something, work for it! Even I am required to "give my owners a paw" or "sit" before I get a treat!
"I think we've been through a period where too many people have been given to understand that if they have a problem, it's the government's job to cope with it. 'I have a problem, I'll get a grant.' 'I'm homeless, the government must house me.' They're casting their problem on society. And, you know, there is no such thing as society. There are individual men and women, and there are families. And no government can do anything except through people, and people must look to themselves first. It's our duty to look after ourselves and then, also to look after our neighbour. People have got the entitlements too much in mind, without the obligations. There's no such thing as entitlement, unless someone has first met an obligation."
